Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It our great pleasure to host the 33rd European Congress on Obesity (ECO 2026) in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 12–15 May 2026.

We are working with great enthusiasm to develop an innovative and interactive scientific programme that reflects the dynamic and multidisciplinary nature of obesity research and management. The programme will address the most pressing and emerging topics in the field, fostering lively discussion, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals. Advanced digital solutions will be implemented at ECO2026 to enhance access to scientific content and to facilitate meaningful networking opportunities.

The congress structure will be designed to maximise engagement between delegates and faculty. The programme will include plenary lectures, thematic sessions, teaching workshops, and moderated research communication sessions. As in previous years, topics will be organised into four main tracks: ‘Basic Science’; ‘Behavioural Science and Public Health’; ‘Childhood and Adolescent Obesity’; and ‘Obesity Management and Intervention’.

We are honoured to welcome leading experts from across the globe who will share their insights and latest findings. At the same time, we also greatly appreciate your contributions to the scientific programme as you join us in shaping the discussions that will define the future of obesity science and care.
