Turkey grants visa-free access to citizens of Schengen Annex I countries and territories

Turkey does not require visas from citizens of the EU and EFTA members except for the Republic of Cyprus, whose citizens are required visas due to the Cyprus issue however they can apply for electronic visas or may be exempted from visa requirement under certain circumstances.

Turkiye’s e-Visa application system offers its applicants a comfortable and practical way to obtain visa. E-visa is an endorsement allowing the bearer to enter Turkiye.

Applicants obtain their visa electronically after entering required information and making payment by credit card. After successful application, the e-Visa is e-mailed to the applicant. Applicants must print out their e-Visa, show it to airport officials and customs officers, and always carry it with them during their travel. Passports should be valid at least six months longer than the expiry date of the requested visa. E-Visa is only valid for tourism or trade purposes.
